What is our World Coming to?

What is our world coming to?

A 3 to 4 year old boy arrived at a pop warner practice field on his own miniature ATV. His mother followed in pursuit as other young boys playing in the area admired and perhaps coveted th boy with the ATV.
So I ask you this, what is this world coming to?

Toys are no longer toys, but a fashion accessory or a signal of wealth.
Is the youth of our day destined to become even more materialistic than our present generation?

Of course I recognize the irony, if not the hypocrisy of my words which I am easily typing on my relatively new MDA. Ah yes, I am part of the materialistic generation that is despised and talked ill of by the so-called baby boomer generation.

Yet, I grew recognizing the inherent danger of the keen desires of material things.

I say this, do not ignore the words of a generation that recognizes its flaws and seeks merely to cure the deleterious impact of its designs.

We must prevent youth from becoming toy crazed and rapacious.
